Deutsche Bank signs new eight year lease at Deutsche Bank Place, Sydney

Deutsche Bank has entered into a lease renewal for its Sydney headquarters, Deutsche Bank Place, at 126 Phillip Street with building co-owners and Investa Property Group. The bank will renew space across six floors – 21% of the total building area – for eight years from its current lease expiry on 31 October 2020. Deutsche Bank will also retain naming and signage rights.

Deutsche Bank’s Deputy CEO for Australia, John Cincotta, said: “Our move to Deutsche Bank Place 13 years ago was a milestone moment for the bank and having our name up in lights on the Sydney skyline reinforced our commitment to the Australian market, our clients and our employees. It is a fantastic state of the art building that provides a contemporary and enjoyable work environment for our employees.

Group Executive and ICPF Fund Manager, Jason Leong said: “The co-owners are pleased to extend Deutsche Bank’s lease for the third time since first occupying the building in 2005, cementing their position as the anchor tenant, retaining both signage and naming rights. The co-owners and the Investa management team have continued to work in partnership with Deutsche to accommodate their current business needs, while allowing flexibility into the future.”
